The guys are back with a brand new edition. This time, they kick things off with 80s rocker Robert Palmer. After talking about hair bands and 80s music, they dig into Batman v. Superman. That leads to a discussion about the upcoming Ghostbusters movie. Later, they get into the Adam Carolla Show. Adam recently announced that the show will clean up its language for certain shows in order to court higher end advertisers. The guys eventually get into the battle royale between Louisiana and Mississippi when it comes to the bottom rankings. That leads down a rabbit trail including the local area, including New Orleans. Later, the dudes chat about the punk rock mentality. Toward the end, they turn to a twist on the Guitar Hero concept. Of course, they have to goof on Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love at the conclusion.

The guys delve into the positives hosts Jay and Ryanne bring to the podcast world (Scavenger Life, Shampoo and Booze, and "What Sells on Ebay" videos). We're talking about thrifting once again! The guys talk about the roots of success learned in our younger years. We learn lessons in sports, as well as the classroom. This can lead to selling later in life on platforms like eBay, Amazon, and Etsy. They chat briefly about the result of Super Bowl 50, and how it ties into the conversation. There's nothing wrong with being stoic and humble. Sometimes it's a matter of getting back to work and getting better. Mike talks about how successful people aren't usually surprised by their success. They knew what it took to make it happen. The conversation eventually turns to working through adversity. "If you keep working, it's going to work," Mike explains. That leads to an exploration of barriers to entry. Just having talent isn't enough. "Potential means you haven't done anything yet," Mike says. The guys then talk about encountering fellow thrifters out sourcing. Making excuses won't lead to success. Later, they get into the task of listing on eBay and sourcing items to sell. Strap in for another episode of the Thrift Trader podcast!
